Thank you so much Sarah! The boxes are French shoe boxes dating from the 19th century and one still has the customer label on it ! they are battered but wonderful!
Haha Carolyn ! I do have some lovely old treasures in my box that I’ve collected over the years or inherited !Often wondered what I’d do with them but they’re all coming into good use now!
Hiya Sue ! Glad you like it and yes I do rather treasure these shoe boxes – I have 4 and they date from the 19TH century! Hope you’re well Sue – not on here much at all these days – finding Instagram much better for my photos but rather miss my blog too!
Hi Sue I realise this comment must be ages old by now and I haven’t been on here to reply. So many life changes at the moment – both large and small! I shall try to catch up a bit with everyone and hope to start posting again at some point but for the moment Instagram is my focus. Really hope you are well and enjoying your new home – you must be well established there by now! Very best wishes Jane xx
Many thanks Douglas for the reblog – so kind of you! I’m afraid I’m not on here much at all at the moment as I started on Instagram in the spring and have found a much bigger audience for my photography there. I do miss the blog though and hope to pick up again soon. Hope you are well and succeeding in all your wonderful painterly and artistic ventures! Very best wishes Jane x
How splendid to hear from you Jane! I am so glad to here of your growing success! Of course I know it is due to your talent and artistic acumen! I thought of you a lot this summer as I read “A Year in Provence”! I wish you continuing success and hope I am lucky enough to hear from you here and there. What is your Instagram urn, I will try to follow you there! – Douglas
Hi Douglas I shall look for you too on Instagram – my user name is @spirits_and_stones_ my page is a mix of my still life and vintage inspired images plus some of my graveyards ! Sounds strange but there is some wonderful funeral art out there! Do let me know your own IG name and I’ll find you! Best wishes Jane
Jane, wonderful Instagram presence! And YES those gravestones are splendid, as is everything you do. I don’t have a presence there but decided perhaps I should. So I just setup one. Not sure how far I will progress but chose the name “Moorezart”. 🙂
Glad you’ve decided to have a look at Instagram Douglas and thanks for checking me out there! Always very hard to decide how much time one can spend on these things! I’ve just found a much bigger audience there and although I miss my blog I’m trying to develop my portfolio so have to concentrate there! Hope to see you there again! 🙂 Best wishes Jane
Oh, those boxes, let alone the lavender. Enchanting!
