Gorgeous photo! I love how you have the old typewriter in the background. With the vase, inkwell, hand written papers, and typewriter, you have a procession of old world technology.
Thank you so much Sarah – I always love to read your comments, you’re always so very generous! I’m not as present here on WordPress as I was – Instagram has rather taken over for me now – but it’s always good to know I have some old ‘friends’ here on WordPress! 🙂 Hope life is treating you kindly and you’re not roasting there on Crete!
Ah, you’ll not know that I’ve left him and am living back in the UK. Staying with friends in Berkshire and moving to my cottage on the Isle of Wight once the tenants leave at the end of June. So happy to be back!
Oh Sarah I didn’t know that! I do hope you’re OK – a cottage on the Isle of Wight sounds lovely – really hope all goes well. I’m keeping up with my Wednesday post on here as I remain sentimentally attached to my blog but putting my energies into Instagram where I have a much bigger audience. So hard to do everything. I hope all your artistic endeavours are going well for you?! I really need to catch up ! Sending you lots of kind wishes across the Channel – Jane xxx
I’m not sure I can cope with another networking site or I’d go on Instagram in an instant! I’m remarkably ok and so looking forward to making my home on the Island. xx
Besides the above-mentioned comments, I have to add that I like the immediacy of the shot, as if someone has just stepped away, perhaps for a glass of wine, and will be back shortly.
Hope you’re not drowning in rain or being horribly inconvenienced by all the strikes. Hopefully all will be over by the time I arrive!
Many thanks Janet ! Love your comment because that’s just what I hoped to achieve, implying a story! Weather here has just turned beautiful, strikes are affecting certain things but not really touching us on our hillside! I’m sure it’ll be OK for your visit! 🙂 🙂
Thank you so much James – really appreciated! I’m going to visit you now – haven’t been doing as much on WordPress lately as I’m on Instagram now so I need to catch up with my favourite blogs! 🙂 🙂
Thanks Jane. I did a bit on Instagram but to be honest I didnt like the way you have to crop your photos…most of mine dont work very well square, besides I find it very restrictive..I dont agree with them telling me what they should look like. Stops me being creative ☺
I think you’d find it has changed a lot now James – people seem to post landscape photos, I certainly have, but I do understand it is hard to keep up with more than one of these things – someone asked me if I was on 500px but I though I just couldn’t do that as well! 🙂
Thanks Jane, maybe I will try again. The thing is that there is so much social media out there you can easily spend all your life in front of a screen 😖
Hi Manja – thank you! and yes the new theme is excellent I think – I must come and have a look at your new blog too – not on here much lately – too little time! Hope you’re well?! 🙂
