    1. Thank you facetfully! I love the different textures of these fields – the barley is really very sharp and spiky but looks like soft hair in the distance!

Fabulous detail in the foreground and I love the distant outcropping, Jane.

    1. Thanks Jane! I did a few of these trying to capture the spikiness of the barley in the foreground and how it looks soft and fluffy when far away – you’ll probably see another of these on Instagram!!

An (almost) endless sea of corn…and beautifully detailed in the near part of the frame

    1. Glad you like it Sue – I have a small series of these – the fields just fascinate me – the barley looks so soft from afar when it’s all waving about but so spiky up close! 🙂

Beautiful, Jane, and so different from your still lives! I love the texture and the angle from which you shot it! (sorry, I don’t know the correct term for that! 🙂 )

    1. Thank you Grace! I’m experimenting with all sorts of things at the moment – light and dark moods – so it’s fun to mix things up a bit! I don’t know if there’s a technical term for shooting angle either! 🙂 Hope you’re well Grace – have a good weekend 🙂

This is such a wonderful photograph Jane. I feel like I am standing in that field and can feel the sun on my back and hear the rustling of the corn in the breeze. Thanks for sharing this. Warm wishes 🙂

  9. The sea of corn with an island of trees. This reminds me of my childhood, where we had ‘our tree island’ in the middle of a field.

I love the image! So great how you realize that! The blurred entirety of the field, but still sharp in the focus of the single stalk!
