  5. I love that you always take me to a gentler world with your still lives (or should that be lifes?!) . The wellies an’ all remind me of staying with my aunt and uncle in Buckinghamshire as a child. The memories give me such a feeling of peace. There were always enough wellies for everyone and baskets of flowers from their garden and much else besides. I particularly remember my uncle making the most divine scrambled eggs, which was more than his brother, my father, was capable of doing! Thank you, Jane.

    1. Dear Sarah, Thank you for a lovely comment and a delightful memory. I suppose I’m always looking for that quieter world I imagine from my Mum’s stories back in the 30’s and after the war, leafy suburbia, peaceful countryside and scones for tea. Reckon the scrambled eggs sound good too! Have a beautiful, gentle day…. 🙂
