Last week two of our regular Thursday Door contributors – the illustrious Norm himself and the wonderfully whimsical Jean Reinhardt – posted a couple of light-hearted entries at a slight tangent to the usual ‘door on a building’ theme. I confess that this week I have not been able to be out and about in search of doors on buildings and wondered whether my own vehicle based contribution would be acceptable?
These particular doors are a very long way from home. The police vehicle was an entry in our famous classic car meeting in the local town of Angoulême – the ‘Circuit des Remparts’. A host of cars from all periods and different walks of life spend the weekend touring the local countryside and over the weekend, haring round the streets of Angoulême in various races and exhibition circuits. I’m not sure if the Oklahoma Police Department have noticed the absence of this beauty yet but I have several mug shots if they need any clues. As to the bullet holes – I really wish I knew……………..Click here for more entries to Norm Frampton’s Thursday Doors Challenge…….

So funny! I lived in Oklahoma for 3 years before moving to Florida! Odd place for an old patrol car to turn up!

Hi Stacy! Glad you like it – I should have posted a pic of the 2 French gendarmes who were hanging around it, that did seem a little strange!

Oh that’s a fabulous photo, Jane. I love the bullet holes but I’m glad I wasn’t in it when they were ‘decorating’ the car. 😉

Hi Sue – fancy you having been there! It is quite something isn’t it? No doubt European health and safety rules will put paid to it eventually but certainly a great event for the moment! 🙂

Ich liebe klassische Autos auch, obwohl ich keine Ahnung von Autos habe. 😀 Die neuen… …na ja, man kommt mit ihnen bequem von A nach B.. ..und wieder zurück. 🙂
