I‘ve been playing around with an idea for some wedding style photos today and thought the results might make a nice response to the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge prompt ‘On the Way’.
It’s a hackneyed metaphor of course but it’s impossible not to see our way through life as being the biggest journey of all, and if we are lucky enough to find a good travelling companion, that moment of setting out together is hopefully one of the best adventures we can have.

I like it. Leaves everything open to the imagination. I worked for a photo studio from 1982 up into the 90’s — weddings was our main business. While I will take on almost any photo project today, I don’t do weddings anymore.

I can understand that Timothy! I’m doing a small series for my card range but not sure I’d like to make my living from shooting weddings! Glad you like the shots and the idea behind them!

I love the dreamy feeling of this with the shallow depth of field. It makes me think of an unknown journey because the road ahead isn’t clear but full of promise. I really like it and a wonderful wedding photo it would make. You are right we are always having “on the way” moments through life and hopefully may most of them be wonderful 🙂
