One of my favourite blogging friends west517 and I both have a dog named Fred – we thought it might be fun to do one of our Double Vision posts – living as we do on different continents – to introduce them to each other. Click the link above to see west’s post and read on for an interview with Fred the celebrity Labrador………
Fred the Labrador (Freddie to his adoring fans) is something of a celebrity, being the poster boy for The Art Card Press among others, so I thought we’d do a short 5 question celebrity style interview.
“What is your favourite time of the day Fred?” – “Breakfast and dinner and anytime there’s cheese involved, Oh and walks, I like walks.”

“Do you have a favourite colour?” – ” Yes, Cheese.” “Is that actually a colour Fred?” “Yes of course it is, it’s cream or soft yellowish sometimes with a nice blue bit.”
“Do you have a favourite food?” – “Yes, Cheese.”
“I see, and do you have a particularly favourite memory you’d like to tell us about? I think I may be able to guess the answer to this one!” – “Yes, when that big piece of Roquefort fell off the table the other week, oh, and that time last year the gate was left open and we ran off in the rain and got filthy just before the vet’s visit.” “Yep that’s the one I thought you’ d mention.”

“And what would you do if you won the lottery Fred?” – ” Buy a cheese factory.”
“And lastly, do you have any advice for young dogs looking to enter the celebrity world?” “Yes, make sure you get a good minder, a really big trailer and a contract that says you can have as much cheese as you like.”

So there you have it, whatever the question is in life, cheese is the answer for this celebrity dog. “Well I am French, and I do like baguettes as well and saucisson, oh and crème fraiche from time to time and……” Thankyou Fred.

A beautiful boy! I LOVE labs— unfortunately I don’t think a bigger dog would be happy in my apartment 😀 … but I’m sure a French Hillside is THE PERFECT habitat for him! ❤

My oh my Jane, Fred the celebrity Labrador is so gorgeous; such presence. He’s bound for the ‘silver screen’ and an Oscar sometime very soon I’m sure 🙂 Better ask the Acadamy for a cheese version though!

Well he does seem to be typically French. Though the Swiss have a thing for cheese, too.

Fred says “The Swiss insist on putting holes ih their cheese,, you get more cheese for your money if it’s French” 🙂

He’s absolutely edible, Jane. Single-minded, focused and resolute. I imagine he’s a delight to interview, and likely a terrific spokesperson for your work.
I do hope you’ve got yourself a skilled lawyer to negotiate his contracts with. Once folks catch wind of his magnetic character, his appearance prices may skyrocket.

Yes Shelley you’re right, Fred certainly knows his own mind and is most insistent on his particular creature comforts. If he ever makes the Labrador Hall of Fame that cheese factory idea will definitely have to happen! 😀 😉
